Creative and performing arts
At Ryde East Public School, students are encouraged to explore their creativity through engaging drama, music, and visual arts programs. These experiences help them express ideas, emotions, and stories in imaginative ways, building confidence and teamwork skills along the way.

Throughout the year, students have opportunities to showcase their talents in school concerts, art exhibitions, and drama performances. Many also participate in special events, such as dance groups and choir performances, including singing at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Our whole-school Art Showcase – In the Wild celebrated the imagination and creative achievements of every student from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Excursions
Overnight camps are a highlight for many students, offering opportunities to build independence, confidence, and teamwork. Away from the classroom, students take on new challenges, form stronger friendships, and create lasting memories through outdoor adventures and shared experiences.

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn, and experience new things. Excursions give them the chance to connect their learning to the world around them. these range from discovering animals at the zoo, exploring local landmarks, or taking part in hands-on activities that spark curiosity and wonder.
School sport and inter-school competitions
Students at Ryde East Public School take part in a wide range of sporting activities, including school sport, swimming, and athletics carnivals. These programs promote teamwork, fitness, and fair play.
Many students also represent our school in inter-school competitions, proudly demonstrating their skills, determination, and school spirit.
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
