Creative arts

Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.

Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

Creative Arts at Ryde East Public School

At Ryde East Public School our students are provided with a varied range of opportunities to engage in the creative arts by participating in co-curricular activities of Art Clubs, School Art Fairs, School Musicals, Dance Group, Choir, Band, Percussion Groups, Music Lessons and Talent Shows.

The NSW Education Standards Authority is responsible for the curriculum, kindergarten to Year 12, for all school in NSW.

Parents can access the Creative Arts syllabus at the NSW Education Standards Authority website.
